#PSL2021: Islamabad United Thrash Karachi Kings by Five Wickets

Islamabad United thrashed Karachi Kings by five wickets in the sixth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Karachi’s National Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Despite putting up a huge 197-run score on the board, Karachi Kings failed to restrict Islamabad United from achieving the target.

Islamabad was struggling at 13-2, however, the third over by KK’s Aamer Yamin changed the course of the match.

The third over IU’s Alex Hales managed to hit 29 runs on seven balls, and the rest is the history now. At the end of the 19th over Islamabad United put 196/5 on the scoreboard claiming the victory.

In the first innings, Karachi King’s Sharjeel Khan and Babar Azam made history in PSL by scoring a record 176-run partnership for the opening wicket.

Sharjeel Khan from the losing side was the top scorer of the match with 105 runs on 59-balls, including nine 4s and eight 6s.
