#LPL2020: Tempers flares a bit after Afridi’s Galle Gladiators beaten by Kandy Tuskers

The cricket world saw tempers flaring a little after Shahid Afridi’s Galle Gladiators were beaten by Kandy Tuskers last night in the Lankan Premier League match.

Pakistan’s former skipper was spotted scolding Naveen-ul-Haq of Afghanistan after the end of the match.  Tuskers’ Naveen-ul-Haq had shared words with Mohammad Amir – and Afridi wasn’t amused!

During the play, in the 20th over Amir hit the 21-year old Naveen-ul-Haq for a six, and Tuskers pacer lost his cool against Amir and his teammates had to intervene to bring the situation under control.

And after the end of the match, Gladiators captain Shahid Afridi’s words to Naveen-ul-Haq for his conduct when the players were greeting each other became the social media highlight.

t is not clear what Afridi had told the young Afghanistan player but it seems like  Afridi said, “Kya ho gya? (What happened)”. He went on to say something else to the pacer and also replied to it.

In last night’s match, Tuskers beat Gladiators by 25 runs to register their first win of the tournament. Back at home, Pakistanis can’t keep their cool on social media as they saw it as an insulting behavior by Afghan play towards senior cricketer Afridi.
