Maria Khan’s goal against KSA is Pakistan’s Bend it like Beckham!

We probably saw the goal of the decade by Pakistan woman’s football team captain Maria Khan when she scored the equaliser last night in the final of the Women’s International 4 nation tournament against Saudia Arabia.

With her stunning performance at the last minute, the Pakistan team drew the last game of the Women’s International Friendly Tournament against Saudi Arabia 1-1 played at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Khobar city.

Pakistan finished runner-up while the host Saudi Arabia bagged the first position for being at the top of the table with seven points. The two other teams featured in the four-nation tournament included Comoros and Mauritius

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the national team for finishing second and also praised Maria Khan for her spectacular goal.

“Congratulations to Saudi Arabia for winning this tournament and proud of our Women’s National Team Pakistan finishing 2nd. Special congratulations to Maria Khan for scoring this spectacular goal. We are working on a policy to promote football and women’s sports in Pakistan,” the premier said in a tweet.

Maria Khan has become the top trend for her historic free kick.
