Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been signed up by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots as a replacement of South African batsman Rassie Van der Dussen in the CPL. This would be Hafeez’s 4th CPL participation, having featured in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
Van Der Dussen, who was one of the few performers for South Africa in the World, is set to miss the CPL due to the international tour to India. Hafeez would look to improve his batting record in the CPL. So far, he has scored 412 runs in 27 matches at a lowly average of 19. His strike of 105, also doesn’t strike much fear in the opposition. However, his bowling has been a lot more effective. He has picked up 17 wickets but more importantly gone for under 5.8 runs per over.
CPL will be played from September 4th to October 12th 2019.
