Nassau County Cricket Ground set to be demolished after the New York leg of ICC T20 World Cup

The demolition process is expected to take six weeks.

Nassau County Cricket Ground is all set to be demolished after the New York leg of the ICC T20 World Cup is completed.

The makeshift Nassau County cricket ground was constructed specifically for the T20 World Cup 2024 in just 106 days having a seating capacity of 34,000. 

In a video shared on social media, bulldozers are seen parked at the venue, ready to commence the demolition of the temporary stadium. 

The stadium constructed at Eisenhower Park in Nassau County, New York, hosted eight games, including three Group A matches featuring the high-profile India vs Pakistan match as well.

The last game played at the stadium was India’s match against co-hosts USA on Wednesday, June 12.

Following the match, preparations to dismantle the stadium have started.

The demolition process is expected to take six weeks.
