Khurram Manzoor who has been one of the most outstanding performers in domestic cricket in recent years, continued to make a case for national selection with an electrifying 77 run knock against Fata. The right handed opener, hit seven fours and two sixes. No other Karachi batsmen reached 20 as the side trudged to 130 for 7. Lanky paceman, Mohammad Irfan picked up a 4 wicket haul, while all other bowlers were economical.
In response, Fata fought hard but ended up 7 runs short of the target. Discarded Pakistan opener Mukhtar Ahmed took charge scoring a 45 ball 52. However, there was little support from the other end as Fawad Alam and Arshad Iqbal picked up a brace each.
Multan in their game upstaged Peshawar comfortably. Multan scored 132 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Fawad Khan topped scored with 40. Raees Ahmed and Mohammad Mohsin chipped in with 36 & 33 respectively. Experienced Pakistan pace merchant, Mohammad Irfan picked up two wickets.
