New Zealand Unveils Squad for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Mitchell Santner will lead the squad

New Zealand officially announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, set to take place in Pakistan and the UAE.
This tournament marks a significant moment as it will be Mitchell Santner’s first major ICC event as captain, following his recent appointment as the full-time white-ball skipper.
Mitchell Santner leads the squad, supported by seasoned players Kane Williamson and Tom Latham. Latham will also serve as the wicketkeeper.
The squad features debutants Will O’Rourke, Ben Sears, and Nathan Smith, all set to make their first appearances in a senior ICC event. They join experienced bowlers Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson, who is participating in his fifth ICC tournament.
Santner will spearhead the spin attack, backed by all-rounders Michael Bracewell, Glenn Phillips, and Rachin Ravindra.
The batting order includes Devon Conway, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, and Will Young, ensuring depth and balance across disciplines.
New Zealand is placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Their campaign kicks off against the hosts Pakistan in Karachi on February 19. Following this match, they will face Bangladesh on February 24 in Rawalpindi, and India on March 2, in Dubai.
