After conceding the home series against West Indies, Pakistan women’s team earned a consolation win thanks Nida Dar and Anam Amin. They won the 3rd T20I by 12 runs.
Batting 1st Pakistan, Pakistan were off to a brisk start thanks to all three firing at over 115 strike rate. They were 70 in 10 overs, when Nida Dar walked in. Dar, went on to hit five fours and two sixes on her way to 53. Aliya Riaz also provided impetus with a 23 ball 24.
In response, West Indies were 2 down inside four overs. But the match winner of last match Dottin was in form again top scoring with 46. However, Pakistani bowler kept picking up wickets at regular intervals to restrict the Windies to 138 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Anam Amin was the star bowler picking up three wickets.
In the match Sana Mir became the 1st Asian women to cricketer play 100 T20Is. This was Pakistan’s 2nd victory in T20Is against West Indies.
The ODI series to be played in UAE, will start on the 7th of February.
