Olympic flag hoisted upside down Paris 2024 Opening ceremony
The act has drawn wide criticism on social media as well.

There was an embarrassing moment at the much anticipated Paris Olympics opening ceremony on Friday as the Olympic flag was hoisted upside down.
The first-ever opening ceremony which was held outside a stadium on the River Seine, Paris had to battle driving rain that cast a pallid gloom over the City of Light and several blunders will go down in history as well.
The Olympic flag was raised at Place du Trocadero during the opening ceremony but it was upside down!
The flag with the five-ring Olympic logo was flown upside down, in an unfamiliar 2-3 ring formation rather than the usual 3-2 arrangement.
While no formal apology has yet been issued.
The act has drawn wide criticism on social media as well.

This event is like a microcosm of modern France, an utter shamblespic.twitter.com/eZeyCrIXRQ
The Olympics should be the most prestigious sporting event in the world, not some sort of Eurovision horror show.

Macron & co don't even care about the Olympic games, as evidenced by hanging the Olympic flag upside down. pic.twitter.com/6jQCyPiOpW
