Pakistan cranked up the deja vu as they beat Bangladesh in the do-or-die match by 5 wickets.

Those who remember how it all started in the 1992 World Cup for Pakistan? They’ve made it 1992 again.

Sunday became the most happening day for the T20 World Cup as group matches are to conclude setting out the top point holders among Groups 1 and 2 to the Semi-Finals of the much-anticipated cricket event.

Both Pakistan and Bangladesh were leveled on four points and needed the Dutch victory to infuse power in their bid for a semis spot and now play a virtual quarter-final.

The Netherlands lit up the final day of Group 2 action when they dashed South Africa’s semi-final hopes.

President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif were among the millions to appreciate Pakistan Cricket Team for their performance in a crucial super-stage fixture against Bangladesh played in Adelaide on Sunday.

“Well done! Exceptionally talented and lucky Pakistanis  Allah Shukar we make it to the semi-finals Great bowling by  @iShaheenAfridi, you are a gem. God knows we needed this good news to uplift us. Good luck to the green shirts for the semi-finals. Inshallah, we will win,” Dr. Arif Alvi tweeted.

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the Pakistan team and also the Netherlands.

 

As the crucial group match between Pakistan and Bangladesh was played during the wee hours according to Pakistan Standard Time, most of the nation woke up to the good news. It was more than a miracle for all the cricket fans as Pakistan makes up to the semifinals against all odds.

Pakistan grabbed the unexpected lifeline to make the semi-finals and Shaheen Afridi emerged as the hero of the day by taking four wickets to restrict Bangladesh to 127 in a knockout clash in Adelaide.

Things for Pakistan wouldn’t even have made out this way if not for Netherlands shocking South Africa.

Well, that’s what we might call destiny.
