Pakistan to Make Historic Debut at 2025 U19 Volleyball World Championship in Uzbekistan

The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) has announced a provisional squad of 15 players, from which the final 12 will be selected prior to departure.

Pakistan is set to make its debut at the FIVB U19 Volleyball World Championship scheduled from July 21 to August 3, 2025, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

This marks the first time Pakistan’s U19 team will participate in this prestigious global youth volleyball tournament.

The team earned its spot by winning a bronze medal at the U18 Asian Championship last year, reflecting the rising standards of volleyball in Pakistan. Pakistan has been drawn in Group A alongside Belgium, Uzbekistan (hosts), Turkey, Argentina, and Puerto Rico.

Pakistan’s group-stage matches are scheduled as follows:

  • July 24: vs Belgium
  • July 25: vs Uzbekistan
  • July 26: vs Turkey
  • July 28: vs Puerto Rico
  • July 29: vs Argentina

The Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) has announced a provisional squad of 15 players, from which the final 12 will be selected prior to departure. The provisional squad includes promising talents, including Talal Ahmed, Abu Bakar Siddique, Jabran, Muhammad Anas, Muhammad Hassan, and others.

The team management comprises:

  • Head Coach: Saeed Ahmed Khan Sady
  • Assistant Coaches: Ehsan Iqbal and Muhammad Suleman Amin
  • Trainer: Muhammad Salman
  • Manager: Syed Farooq Ahmed Bokhari

This participation is a significant milestone for Pakistan volleyball, showcasing the country’s emerging talent on the global stage and providing valuable international exposure to its youth players.

The PVF is also focusing on preparations, including hosting a three-match series against Russia’s U19 team earlier in the year to boost readiness for the championship.
