Pakistan women win T20I series against South Africa

Pakistan women have won the Twenty20 International (T20I) home series against South Africa!

The girls in Greem outclassed South Africa in the second Twenty20 International to seal the three-match series 2-0 at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi on Sunday.

Pakistan beat South Africa with seven wickets in hand in the second match played.

Pakistan after winning the toss put the visitors to bat first.

South Africa’s opening duo of Captain Laura Wolvaardt (41 off 34, six fours) and Tazmin Brits (46 off 48, two fours and six)  formed a 74-run partnership and got them to a positive start.

First drop Marizanne Kapp hit 26 before getting run out and helped the visitors to 150-3.

Bismah Maroof and Sidra Ameen formed an important 68-run partnership, after the loss of an early wicket of Shawaal Zulfiqar in the fourth over, which helped the national team chase the target of 151 runs against the visitors.

Sidra Amin was awarded player of the match for her career-best score of 61.

She played a remarkable innings of 61 runs off 44 balls which included seven boundaries.

Pakistan Women beat South Africa Women by five wickets in a nail-biting last over in their first Twenty20 International (T20I) match on Friday.

The hosts successfully chased the highest T20I target of 151 runs with Aliya Riaz hitting a boundary at the last ball.
