PCB announced unchanged playing XI for third test against England
Final Test of three-match series will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from Thursday (tomorrow)
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced the unchanged playing eleven for the third and final test against England, set to begin on October 24 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
This decision follows Pakistan’s impressive 152-run victory in the second Test in Multan, which levelled the series at 1-1. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the team selection in an official statement.
Captain Shan Masood’s squad showcased a strong all-round performance in the second Test, with spinners Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan playing crucial roles in dismantling the English batting lineup.
Pakistan Playing XI for Third Test: Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood (C), Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel (VC), Mohammad Rizwan (WK), Salman Ali Agha, Aamir Jamal, Nauman Ali, Sajid Khan, Zahid Mehmood.
On the other hand, the pitch for the series-deciding Test between Pakistan and England is being closely monitored after large fans were deployed to dry the surface to replicate last week’s spin-driven success.
Pakistan’s decision to use the same pitch for consecutive matches proved successful in Multan, where they achieved a 152-run victory that levelled the three-match series at 1-1 last week.
