PCB has dropped Aamir Jamal from the national squad for the upcoming home test series against Bangladesh

On Monday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that fast-bowler Aamir Jamal has been released from the Test squad ahead of the Bangladesh series.

Aamir Jamal has been advised to work on his fitness at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

“Aamir is recovering from a back injury which he sustained while playing county cricket this year,” the PCB statement read.

It is pertinent to mention here that Kamran Ghulam and Abrar Ahmed have already been released, and they will play for Pakistan Shaheens in a four-day match against Bangladesh A from August 20 to 23.

The first Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played from August 21, while the second match will be played from August 30, at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan has appointed Shan Masood as the captain, and Saud Shakeel as the vice-captain for the home test series against Bangladesh.

The visitors Bangladesh will be hoping hope to overturn their no-win record against Pakistan, having lost 12 of the 13 Tests, with just one draw.
