The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) following his withdrawal from the league to join the Indian Premier League (IPL), breaching his contractual obligations.
Bosch was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the PSL 2025 draft but opted to play for Mumbai Indians as a replacement for injured Lizaad Williams, despite his PSL commitments overlapping with the IPL schedule.
The PCB issued a legal notice to Bosch through his agent, demanding justification for his actions and outlining the repercussions of his departure. This move reflects the PCB’s strict stance against contract violations, as concerns grow over enforcement in franchise cricket.
The incident has sparked discussions about banning players who prioritize competing leagues over their existing contracts.
