PCB Postpones Remainder of PSL X Indefinitely Amid Escalating Tensions with India
The postponement came when the PSL 10 was in its final stage, with only eight matches remaining.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has indefinitely postponed the remaining eight matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 due to escalating military tensions with India.
The decision was announced on Friday following increased hostilities along the Line of Control (LoC), including incursions by 78 Indian drones and the firing of surface-to-surface missiles, which the PCB described as “reckless aggression” from India.
“In such times, while cricket unites and brings joy, it must take a respectful pause,” the board said.
Initially, the PCB had shifted the remaining PSL matches from Pakistan to the UAE for security reasons, but the worsening situation led to the indefinite suspension of the tournament.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed regret over not being able to hold matches in Pakistan and emphasized the priority of players and staff’s safety and mental well-being.
The postponement was taken on the advice of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, who highlighted the nation’s focus on supporting the Armed Forces defending Pakistan’s sovereignty.
The PCB stated that while cricket is a unifying force and a source of joy, it must take a respectful pause in such times of national crisis.
The board also expressed solidarity with the families of security personnel and martyrs and acknowledged the concerns of foreign players and their families.
