PSL 6 Kicks Off With a Dexterous Virtual Ceremony in Karachi

The much-anticipated sports event of the country, Pakistan Super League Season 6 has kicked off at National Stadium, Karachi on Saturday.

With a limited live audience, the opening ceremony was a dexterous virtual event as millions watched the stars including Atif Aslam, Hamaima Malik, Naseebo Lal, Young Stunners and Pakistan-Dutch singer Imran Khan performed on their TV screens from homes.

The opening ceremony saw an excellent display of fireworks enthralled the Karachiites.

PCB chairman Ehsan Mani addressing the inaugural ceremony, said that the reason behind the success of the PSL is the enthusiasm of fans. “The PSL has become a brand now. We are thankful to foreign countries for visiting Pakistan,” he added.

He also thanked security forces and the government for the successful conduct of the PSL. “Only 7,700 spectators can visit National Stadium, Karachi due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Gaddafi Stadium will accommodate only 5,500 spectators, More spectators will be allowed after the situation improves,” he added.
