PSL: Karachi to host all Pakistan leg of PSL 2019

The three Pakistan Super League 2019 matches which were scheduled earlier to be held in Lahore, have been moved to Karachi following the recent political and military tensions between Pakistan and India.

The recent escalation of tensions between the neighboring countries resulted in the closing of airspace around Lahore. Flight operations in Karachi, however, had resumed on March 1 with all international flights operating normally.

According to the news source, all eight PSL matches will be held in Karachi now and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized the decision soon.

Giving the reason behind the change of venue, the report said: “some uncontrollable developments due to the closure of Lahore’s airspace have forced the PCB to make this decision”.
