PSL X Match-29: Lahore Qalandars Beat Peshawar Zalmi by 26 Runs to Secure Playoff Spot

Peshawar Zalmi knocked out of the race for the trophy for the first time in PSL history

In the 29th match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, Lahore Qalandars defeated Peshawar Zalmi to qualify for the playoffs.

The match, played in Rawalpindi, started late due to strong winds and rain, and was reduced to 13 overs per side. Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and opted to field first.

Batting first, Lahore Qalandars scored 149 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 13 overs.

For Lahore, Fakhar Zaman played a brilliant innings of 60 runs, while Mohammad Naeem scored 22, Asif Ali 18, and Kusal Perera contributed 17 runs.

For Peshawar Zalmi, Ahmed Daniyal, Ali Raza, and Daniel Sams took two wickets each.

In response to Lahore’s target of 150 runs, Peshawar Zalmi managed to score only 123 runs for 8 wickets in 13 overs.

With a 26-run victory, Lahore Qalandars secured their place in the playoffs, while Peshawar Zalmi were knocked out of the race for the trophy.

Earlier, three teams—Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, and Quetta Gladiators—had already qualified for the playoff stage.
