#PSL2020: Rs500 worth online tickets sold out within 20 minutes

Pakistan Super League (PSL)2020 is just a month ahead and returning to the Pakistani grounds, online tickets purchase has been commenced.

Earlier today, the PCB announced the ticket prices and purchase details in its press release with the first batch of online entry passes were out for sale at 8 pm on yayvo.com.

Reports on private TV channels claimed that cricket fans’ purchasing was record high and within 20 minutes, Rs500 worth ticket sold out like hot cakes.

General sale of tickets

According to PCB, the general tickets’ sale will begin from January 28 and the distribution would be done through TCS Express Centers across 38 cities nationwide.

Each national ID card holder can purchase up to seven tickets maximum for one match, reports said.

On February 20, at the occasion of grand opening of PSL2020 match in Karachi, tickets price range between Rs1,000 to Rs6,000 whereas tickets for the final in Lahore on March 22 will be priced between Rs500 to Rs5,000.

Similarly, for the March 17 Qualifier in Karachi, the cheapest ticket cost has been fixed at Rs500 and the VIP enclosure cost at Rs4,000.

Least price of a ticket

Meanwhile, the least price of ticket for the two Eliminators in Lahore on March 18 and 20 has been fixed at Rs500, while the most expensive one would cost Rs4,000.

According to the announcement by PCB, bearing in mind the affordability of cricket fans, the price of the tickets were fixed after a board review on the purchasing power of the general public.

“We promised to focus on fan experience for HBL PSL2020 and I am delighted that we are launching a streamlined ticketing process with almost one month to go in the tournament. We are keen to offer our hospitality to the world and will encourage our fans form across the world to avail this opportunity and plan in advance,” said PCB Director (Commercial), Babar Hamid.

“HBL PSL has always received a phenomenal response from passionate Pakistani cricket fans and we expect them to turn up in big numbers this year as well. This will also be a great time for us to show to the world Pakistan’s passion and love for this great game.”
