#PSL7: PCB announces schedule for the Pakistan Super League 2022

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday has announced the schedule for the seventh edition of its franchise-based Twenty20 league, Pakistan Super League 2022.

The much-anticipated event will be held over a month-long period that will kick off from January 7, 2022,  with the final to be held on February 27.

The PSL 7 matches will be played in Karahi and Lahore.

Karachi will host 15 matches from 27 January to 7 February.

The remaining 15 league matches and the four play-offs will be played from 10-27 February at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, including the final of the tournament.

PSL Teams will quarantine in Karachi. On 15 January 2022, the Official and broadcaster will reach destinations.

All teams will be in Karachi for the Opening Ceremony 2022 to be held on Jan 27.

The defending champions Multan Sultans will take on hosts and 2020 champions Karachi Kings on January 27 at the National Stadium Karachi at with the first ball to be bowled at 7 pm PST.

While 2019 champions Quetta Gladiators will play against 2017 winners Peshawar Zalmi on Friday, January 28.

“In the first of the six double-headers to be played in the 32-day and 34-match tournament, Multan Sultans will take on 2020 runners-up Lahore Qalandars at 2 pm PST, which will be followed by the Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators’ fixture that will begin at 7 pm PST on Saturday,” PCB announced.

“Two-time champions Islamabad will be in action on Sunday afternoon when they will lock horns with Peshawar Zalmi, with the evening match to be played between arch-rivals Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars.”
