Quetta Gladiators beat Peshawar Zalmi by three runs in exhibition match at Bugti Stadium Quetta

Guetta Gladiators had scored 184 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Quetta Gladiators Sunday defeated Peshawar Zalmi by three runs in an exhibition match of the eighth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), played on Sunday at Bugti Stadium, Quetta.

Cricket returned to Quetta’s Bugti Stadium after 27 years, and fans were more than excited to see Quetta Gladiators clinch the victory in a thrilling finish against Peshawar Zalmi.

While chasing the target of 185 runs, Peshawar Zalmi managed to score 181 for 7 wickets.

Batting first, Guetta Gladiators had scored 184 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs.

Iftikhar Ahmed of Quetta Gladiators become the main highlight as he hit 6 sixes in the last over of Wahab Riaz.

Iftikhar remained not out with 94 runs off 50 balls.

Sarfraz Ahmed represented Quetta Gladiators while the national team skipper Babar Azam represented Peshawar Zalmi in the exhibition match.

The match was halted temporarily after some youths lit a fire outside Bugti Stadium.

On the other hand, for the match being held in Quetta, strict security arrangements were made in the stadium and surrounding areas, and more than 4 thousand police and Frontier Corps personnel are performing security duties during the match.

Sunday saw the match-related trends trending on the Twitter timeline, a good sign for PSL8!
