Rafael Nadal suffers an early exit from the Roland Garros

The 14-time French Open champion could hardly keep up with his German opponent

Rafael Nadal suffered an early exit from the Roland Garros on Monday.

The record fourteen-time winner Rafael was beaten by fourth-seeded German tennis player Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in the first round of the French Open 2024.

This marks the first time in his long and illustrious career that Nadal has been beaten in two consecutive matches on clay courts and the first time he has lost a match earlier than the fourth round at the French Open.

Known as the ‘King of Clay’, Nadal returned to the tournament he skipped in 2023.
