Sabalenka showcased her powerful baseline game, accumulating 32 winners

Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka has advanced to the final of the 2025 Australian Open, defeating her close friend Paula Badosa in a semi-final match on Thursday.
Sabalenka won decisively with a score of 6-4, 6-2, marking her third consecutive appearance in the Australian Open final, a feat last achieved by Martina Hingis in 1999.
In the match held at Rod Laver Arena, Sabalenka showcased her powerful baseline game, accumulating 32 winners and maintaining control throughout the contest. Despite a few early struggles, she rebounded effectively, breaking Spanish, 11-seeded, Badosa’s serve multiple times and capitalizing on her opponent’s errors.
The victory extends Belarusian tennis player Sabalenka’s winning streak at the Australian Open to 20 matches, putting her on track for a potential third title, which would be a historic achievement in women’s tennis this century.
The current singles world No. 1, Sabalenka will face either Iga Swiatek, the second seed from Poland, or Madison Keys, the 19th seed from the United States, in the final scheduled for Saturday
