Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal Retains Top Spot in Latest ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings
Australia’s Beth Mooney leads the batting rankings

Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Sadia Iqbal continues to dominate the international stage by retaining her position as the number one bowler in the ICC Women’s T20 International (T20I) rankings, according to the latest list released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on July 1, 2025.
Sadia Iqbal, who played a pivotal role in Pakistan’s success at the recent ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers held in Lahore, took 9 wickets at an average of 16, earning her a place in the tournament’s best XI. Her consistent performances have kept her ahead with 746 rating points, maintaining a narrow lead over other top international bowlers.
This achievement marks a continuation of her rise, as she first claimed the top spot during the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup and reclaimed it recently after England’s Sophie Ecclestone dropped to fourth due to absence from the West Indies series.
Sadia credits former Pakistan captain Sana Mir for mentoring her and helping improve her game.
Other Pakistani players have also made progress in the rankings:
- Nashra Sandhu is ranked 8th among bowlers with 704 points.
- Captain Fatima Sana climbed to 13th in the all-rounder rankings and holds 38th place in bowling.
- Experienced all-rounder Nida Dar moved up to 33rd in bowling and is 6th among all-rounders.
Despite these bowling successes, no Pakistani batter is currently in the top 20 of the ICC Women’s T20I batting rankings, with Muneeba Ali and Nida Dar ranked 36th and 39th, respectively.
Internationally, Australia’s Beth Mooney leads the batting rankings, while England’s Lauren Bell has made significant strides, rising 13 places to 6th in bowling after taking 7 wickets in the recent England-West Indies series.
