Shaheen Afridi regrets spat with Sarfaraz Ahmed, issues apology in a tweet!

A heated spat between Lahore Qalandars pacer Shaheen Afridi and Quetta Gladiators skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed during  PSL 6 Tuesday’s match had generated mixed reactions from fans on Twitter.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the left-arm Lahore Qalandars pacer said: “Saifi bhai is the pride of all of us. He was and will always remain a captain for me. Whatever happened in the game that day was heat of the moment. I should have stayed quiet in respect of him. I have always respected my seniors and pray and wish the best for @SarfarazA_54 bhai.”

It all started when the Quetta Gladiators’ skipper was hit on the helmet by a fiery delivery from Afridi. Rattled by the 147kmph hit, Sarfaraz did manage to score a run.

After facing the ball Sarfaraz said something to the left-arm pacer, who had turned his back to the former Pakistan skipper and was getting ready to bowl the next delivery.

In response, Afridi walked back towards the former skipper and said something.

Meanwhile, a few fielders of the Lahore Qalandars and an on-field umpire intervened.

Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez was spotted attempting to help  Sarfaraz to calm down.

The incident had left the cricket fans on social media divided.
