Shaheen Afridi undergoes appendix surgery

Shaheen Shah Afridi underwent an appendectomy it emerges on Sunday.

Pakistan’s fast pacer took to social media sharing an update on his health with fans and also requested for prayers.

While sharing an image featuring him bed ridden in the hospital in a tweet, Shaheen Shah Afridi said, “Had an appendectomy today but Alhumdulillah feeling better. Remember me in your prayers.”

Earlier in Australia during the T20 World Cup final against the England, Shaheen suffered a massive blow on his right knee that had recovered from a previous injury.

However, it was later cleared by the Pakistan Cricket Board that Shaheen’s scans have shown “no signs of an injury” and he was advised two-week rehabilitation.
