Talha Talib wins gold at 5th International Solidarity Weightlifting Championships

Talha Talib grabbed the Gold medal for Pakistan at the 5th International Solidarity Weightlifting Championships. The Championship is being held in Cairo, Egypt.

Talib won gold in the snatch category by lifting 136 kg. He also won a silver in clean and jerk by lifting 155kg. A total of 291kg brought him another silver medal.

Host Egypt top the ranking, followed by Pakistan at 2nd. Saudi Arabia are at the 3rd spot.

Talha Talib had won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018 in Gold Coast, Australia.
