Bangladesh’s ace opener Tamim Iqbal will take no part in the Asia Cup 2018 after fracturing his left wrist. In the 1st match of the tournament, Bangladesh were rocked early losing 2 early wickets to Lasith Malinga. In the 2nd over, Tamim Iqbal had to leave the field injured as he took a blow on his left wrist facing up to Suranga Lakmal.
It is being reported that the left handed will be out of action for a month and half. This will be a big problem for the Bangladesh management as Tamim has been a prolific scorer for them over the last many years.
Bangladesh are to face Afghanistan on the 20th September.
