Team India’s miserable losses at T20WC will echo for a long time!

After a humiliating defeat against Pakistan on Oct 24, India crumbled like a house of cards in its match against New Zealand last night.

New Zealand hammered India, while successfully chasing down a 111 runs target in the 28th match of the World T20 Cup Super-12 stage played in Dubai Sports City (DSC) on Sunday.

New Zealand won the toss and opted to field first against India that later proved to be the best decision for the Black Caps.

Batting first, India managed to post a total of 110/7 on the scoreboard, the proved to be

Ravindra Jadeja (scored unbeaten 26 off 19 balls) and Hardik Pandya (scored 23 off 24 balls). 

The Team India top order struggled as KL Rahul, managed to score 18 runs while Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma managed to score 4 and 14 runs respectively.

While Skipper Virat Kohli managed to score 9 runs off 17 balls.

“To be brutal, upfront I don’t think we were brave enough with bat or ball. We obviously didn’t have much to play with the ball. We were just not brave enough in our body language when we entered the field and New Zealand had better intensity & body language,” were the words of losing side captain Virat Kohli at the post-match presser.

Virat Kohli’s India started the Twenty20 World Cup as favorites but their semi-final hopes are now hanging by a thread after two losses, first a ten-wicket defeat against Pakistan and then the latest an eight-wicket defeat to New Zealand.

India slumped to fifth in Group II after losing to New Zealand and winning the remaining three matches might not be enough to earn a place in the semi-finals.
