Indian skipper Virat Kohli has finally shared his opinion over his country’s decision to call for a ban against playing Pakistan at the ICC World Cup 2019 on July 16.
While addressing a presser on Saturday, the eve of India’s first T20I against Australia, Virat Kohli for the first time spoke over this matter.
On being asked upon the Indian team’s stance on the situation, Kohli replied:
“Our sincere condolences to the families of CRPF soldiers who lost their lives in Pulwama attack. We stand by what the nation wants to do and what the BCCI decides to do. We will go by what the govt & the Board decides, we will respect that”.
The match between India and Pakistan at the ICC World Cup has fallen to uncertainty after India called for a boycott against playing Pakistan in attempts to cut cricket ties with the country after the Pulwama attack.
