West Indies over power Pakistan to take the 1st T20

West Indies women team made a grand start to their tour of Pakistan, registering an empathic 71 run win over the host. 50s from Deandra Dottin and Chedean Nation helped them post a large score and Pakistan were never in the game with the bat.

West Indies batted 1st, scoring 41 runs in the power play. At the fall of the 2nd wicket, Deandra Dottin and Chedean Nation went into top gear scoring 109 runs in 11 and a bit overs. Dottinn hammered a 60 ball 90, while Nation finished on 35 ball 50. Nashra Sandhu was the pick of the bowlers going under 6 runs per over and picking the only wicket of the day.

Pakistan crumbled under pressure and were bowled out for 89, with 2 overs remaining. Captain Bismah Maroof top scored with 38. Connell took 3 for 29 for the West Indies.

2nd T20 will be played tomorrow.
