PTA introduces a new system to block unethical content!
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has introduced a new system to prevent unethical content, unethical websites will be automatically blocked at the level of Internet service providers.
PTA says the new system will protect the privacy of citizens.
PTA will be able to block websites at the domain level under the DNS system.
According to PTA, the new system has no mechanism for social media monitoring and what users are surfing.
The automated system of blocking websites will save time and will not affect the quality, speed, or price of the internet.
Earlier, the list of websites was sent to the companies providing internet.
The blocking of illegal content was already being done, however to improve the effectiveness of the same, an automation process through domain name resolution at ISP level has been implemented under the policy directives of GoP.
