South Korea has unveiled its first artificial intelligence (AI) news anchor, a collaboration between cable TV channel MBN and MoneyBrain.
According to media reports, MBN collaborated with MoneyBrain and based the AI news anchor on Kim Joo-ha.
With the help of the latest Al tech, technical team processed previous recordings of news anchor Kim, by making notes of her voice, tone, facial expressions, and gestures.
Reportedly, the latest high-end technology can not only create life-like animation but also share up to 1,000 words every minute.
By using an AI news anchor, a writer would come up with the news for the day and send the content to the managing producers, who would then add in subtitles and videos, accordingly to create a news package to go on air.
In future quick news delivery can be even more effective and can save time and resources all in one take, and that could be a good substitute of real news anchors.
