Bloomberg News on Friday reported that the social media company has shut down offices in New Delhi and Mumbai but continues to operate its office in the southern tech hub of Bengaluru which mostly houses engineers.

Reports claim that the company has asked the remaining staff to work from home.

Twitter, under new owner Elon Musk, previously fired 90 per cent staff of its roughly 200-plus staff in India. Apart from Delhi, Musk has shut down its Twitter office in Mumbai as well.

Last month, Twitter ordered at least a dozen more job cuts in Dublin and Singapore offices as part of wider cost-cutting measures at the company that saw layoffs of about 3,700 employees in November 2022.
