Twitter temporarily shuts down its offices after Musk’s ultimatum

Twitter is reported to have temporarily shuts down its offices until Monday after Musk’s ultimatum!

Elon Musk, company’s new CEO wrote that the employees “will need to be extremely hardcore” to build “a breakthrough Twitter 2.0″ and that long hours at high intensity will be needed for success.

According to the news source, so far no Twitter employees have been deactivated — even those who’ve publicly resigned. Musk and his team only collected the list of “yes’s” — employees who said they want to be part of Twitter 2.0. They’re still trying to track who is out.

Zoe Schiffer, Managing Editor at Platformer sharing in insight, tweeted that “Twitter has alerted employees that effective immediately, all office buildings are temporarily closed and badge access is suspended. No details given as to why”.

In a latter tweet, Schiffer said, “The designers leading Elon Musk’s Blue verified project are out, along with the lead web engineer. Many Twitter employees who maintained critical infrastructure have resigned. This is going to look like a very different company tomorrow.“

Well the micro-blogging social media platform seems to be in a real mess now!

As reported, hundreds of Twitter employees are estimated to be leaving the beleaguered social media company following an ultimatum from Musk that staffers sign up for “long hours at high intensity,” or leave.

‘Meanwhile, the memo sent by the company sent out to staff announcing the office closure stated:

Hi,

Effective immediately, we are temporarily closing our office buildings and all badge access will be suspended. Offices will reopen on Monday, November 21st.

Thank you for your flexibility. Please continue to comply with company policy by refraining from discussing confidential company information on social media, with the press or elsewhere.

We look forward to working with you on Twitter’s exciting future.
