WhatsApp experienced a significant global outage on Saturday, affecting thousands of users worldwide, including those in Pakistan.
The disruption began around 4:52 pm local time and continued into the evening, with users reporting issues sending messages and uploading statuses.
The outage affected users in India, the United States, and other regions, with over 2,990 reports logged by Downdetector.

As of now, there has been no official statement from Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, addressing the cause or expected duration of the outage.
This outage is not the first for WhatsApp this year. In late February, a major global outage affected WhatsApp Web, messaging, and calling services, with over 9,000 complaints logged.
