British Airways direct flights to Lahore are operational

British Airways has not suspended direct flight operations to Lahore.

In a statement to Oyeyeah, the spokesperson of the UK based airline said: “British Airways remains committed to Pakistan. We are currently operating flights direct flights to Lahore and Islamabad. Our network and our schedules continue to remain fluid as we react to the global pandemic.”

The statement comes in response to the reports that British Airways has suspended its flight operations to Lahore.

A number of news outlets on Monday, while quoting a now-deleted tweet said that British Airlines have suspended direct flights from Lahore, Pakistan to London Heathrow from April 2021 due to a change in their summer schedule.

However, that is not the case.

British Airways had started direct flights to Lahore and Islamabad on October 14, 2020.
