Flight Disruptions at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport Amid Technical Glitch

Airlines affected include Serene Air, Air Sial, Airblue, Emirates

Nine flights were cancelled at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Sunday due to unspecified technical and operational reasons.

As reported, both domestic and international flights departing from Jinnah International Airport were cancelled.

Serene Air, Air Sial, Airblue, Gulf Air, Air China, and Emirates are among the airlines affected by the technical glitch.

The affected flight included:

  • Serene Air:
    • ER522 (Karachi-Lahore)
    • ER504 (Karachi-Islamabad)
    • An additional unspecified flight to Islamabad
  • Air Sial:
    • PF145 (Karachi-Lahore)
    • PF123 (Karachi-Islamabad)
  • Airblue:
    • PA200 (Karachi-Islamabad)
  • Gulf Air:
    • An unspecified flight
  • Air China:
    • CA946 (Karachi-Beijing)
  • Emirates:
    • EK609 (Karachi-Dubai)

The airport connects Karachi to approximately 32 international destinations across 16 countries, with Dubai (DXB) and Jeddah (JED) being among the most frequented routes.

Despite the recent flight cancellations, Jinnah International Airport continues to facilitate a significant volume of international travel, with a variety of airlines operating numerous routes to key destinations.
