Pakistan Railways Introduces 50% Discount for Disabled Passengers

Pakistan Railways Plans to Expand Accessibility to 12 More Stations

Pakistan Railways has announced a 50% discount on ticket prices for disabled passengers, aimed at enhancing accessibility and inclusivity within the railway system.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve services for individuals with disabilities across the country.

To qualify for the discount, passengers must possess a computerized national identity card (CNIC) that includes information about their disability. Furthermore, visually impaired passengers will be eligible for discounted fares for their accompanying attendants.

In addition to the discount, Pakistan Railways plans to expand these facilities to 12 additional railway stations. This expansion is intended to further enhance accessibility, ensuring that disabled passengers can travel more easily and comfortably.

The initiative reflects a commitment to improving the overall experience for all passengers, particularly those with special needs, aligning with global trends towards more inclusive.
