Saudi Arabia Imposes Temporary Visa Ban on 14 Countries, Including Pakistan, Until Mid-June
This temporary measure aims to streamline travel regulations and enhance safety during the Hajj season

Saudi Arabia has recently imposed a temporary visa ban on 14 countries, including Pakistan, as part of measures to manage the Hajj season. The ban affects Umrah, business, and family visas, with restrictions expected to be lifted by mid-June.
The countries impacted by the ban are Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, and Yemen.
Individuals holding Umrah visas can still enter Saudi Arabia until April 13, 2025.
All visa holders from the affected countries must exit Saudi Arabia by April 13, 2025, to avoid penalties. Failure to comply may result in a five-year ban from entering the Kingdom.
The primary reasons behind this decision are to prevent unauthorized Hajj participation and illegal employment, which have led to overcrowding and safety issues in the past.
This temporary measure aims to streamline travel regulations and enhance safety during the Hajj season, with normal visa processes expected to resume after mid-June.
