Security tightened outside Salman Khan’s Mumbai house following firing incident

Security has been tightened outside Salman Khan’s house following the incident on Sunday. 

As reported, no one was harmed as gunshots were fired outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area.

The incident occurred around 4:51 am when two men fired four rounds outside the Galaxy Apartments before fleeing the spot.

The two unidentified men riding a motorbike managed to flee after firing. 

The Bandra Police registered a case against an unknown person over the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house.

According to a Mumbai Police official, Salman Khan was at his house when the firing occurred.

The police also released the picture of two alleged suspects who opened fire outside superstar Salman Khan’s house early Sunday morning.

A first information report (FIR) has been registered against an “unidentified person” under section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Arms Act, said a Bandra police official.

The attack on Salman Khan’s home comes after the given multiple threats from the gangs of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar.

In 2018, Lawrence Bishnoi’s aide Sampat Nehra admitted to doing a recce of Salman Khan’s house. However, the Haryana Police arrested Sampat Nehra before he could carry out the attack.

During questioning, he had revealed the entire plan of attacking Salman Khan.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been provided with weapons by trained security personnel since the threats from Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar came to light.

He has also been provided with an arms licence to carry a personal weapon for his safety.

According to Indian media reports, Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, residing in the US, has claimed responsibility for Sunday’s incident in a social media post. 

Following the incident, the crime branch, local police and forensic teams visited the spot for an investigation.

The forensic team recovered the casing of bullets fired outside Salman Khan’s house, according to local media reports. 

The Deputy Commissioner Of Police (DSP), Additional DSP and other police officials briefed the investigation team at the DCP office in Mumbai.
