Sushmita Sen underwent angioplasty after suffering a cardiac arrest, it emerges on Thursday.

The former Miss Universe 1994 pageant and Bollywood star revealed her health condition in a social media post.

Apparently, she suffered a cardiac arrest a few days ago and later underwent an angioplasty.

Sharing a photo along with her father, Sen, 47, wrote, “Keep your heart happy & courageous, and it’ll stand by you when you need it the most Shona” (Wise words by my father @sensubir ) I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back…Angioplasty done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed ‘I do have a big heart.”

Thanking her well-wishers, Sushmita Sen added, “Lots of people to thank for their timely aid and constructive action…will do so in another post. This post is just to keep you (my well-wishers and loved ones) informed of the good news …that all is well and I am ready for some life again. I love you guys beyond!!!! #godisgreat #duggadugga.”

Netizens were left shocked upon hearing the news and wished for the Main Hoon Na star’s speedy recovery.

Last year, Lalit Modi’s acknowledgement of his relationship with Bollywood star Sushmita Sen left fans and followers in a tizzy on social media.
