Fighter trailer: Bollywood’s obsession continues to villainize Pakistan

It's 2024 and Bollywood is investing in the anti-Pakistan formula to earn big at the box office.

Film Fighter’s newly released trailer has yet again proved Bollywood’s obsession with villainizing Pakistan.

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s latest jingoistic directed by Siddharth Anand also suggests India is the ‘owner’ of Kashmir!

The trailer gets even worse when the protagonist thrashes the Pakistani villain and calls for an “Indian-Occupied Pakistan” with every punch.

Adding more to the tone-deaf pice of action marred with GFX, hero announcing that India is the “owner” of Kashmir (“maalik hum hain“), leaves us more than disappointed.

It’s 2024 and Bollywood is investing in the anti-Pakistan formula to earn big at the box office.

Social media users including many Pakistani celebrities took to social media to point out Bollywood’s latest outing talk about a hot mess.

Our question is, don’t these people get tired of making such rubbish kind of movies based on jingoistic and forced nationalism plots?

As per the Fighter’s official synopsis: “Militant activities are going out of control in the Srinagar Valley, so a new and elite unit, Air Dragons, is commissioned by the Air Headquarters. They are now the first responders to any hostile activity. They comprise of the best combat aviators handpicked from across the IAF.”

The film, with a runtime of over 3 hours, will feature the journey of Shamsher Pathania, an IAF pilot played by Hirtik Roshan.

While some are of the oppinion that the last Bollywood outting is also a rip-off of Hollywood’s internationl hit Top Gun: Merverick.

Pakistan Pakistan Pakistan… its time that Bollywood filmmakers also take history lessons along with checking with the international media and accpet facts over its obbesion to demonize Pakistan.

That happened to Abhinandan Varthaman who was a Su-30 MKI fighter pilot?

February 27, 2019 will be remembered by the world not just India, Pakistan and Indian Airforce (IAF) pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman for decades.

Any sane person can even Google to check what happened to IAF on Feb 27, 2019!
