Abdul Qavi, the controversial Mufti, has yet again raised eyebrows with his new interview.
Mufti Abdul Qavi, a former member of the Ruet e Hilal Committee, in a recent interview with private TV ‘Channel 24’ made some new revelations.
Responding to a question about marriages, Mufti Abdul Qavi first said that he had only one marriage from which he had children and now he has also become a grandfather and grandfather.
Later, when the anchor questioned him again, he revealed that he has had three to four dozen marriages, he is almost 69 years old, but still, many women want to ‘sacrifice’ for him.
Mufti Qavi, who has become the centre of controversial news, said that there are scholars in the Arab world who have married more times than him.
Mufti Abdul Qavi while giving an interview while holding a Tasbih gifted by Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, claimed that alcohol and liquor are separate things.
Liquor is haram, but alcohol is not haram until it becomes a source of intoxication, he maintained.
The anchor also mentioned a viral video of Mufti Abdul Qavi and asked if there was liquor in his hand at that time.
Mufti Abdul Qavi denied it saying that he could say on oath that he was drinking ‘tea’ at that time.
