Actor Gerard Butler, others share their stories of destruction due to California wildfires

The deadly wildfires spreading throughout California have forced hundreds of thousands of residents to evacuate, among them include many Bollywood celebrities. Many have lost their properties and belongings to wildfires. Neil Young, Robin Thicke, Gerard Butler and Miley Cyrus are among those whose houses were lost to the blazes.

Hollywood actor Gerard Butler’s house in California has been destroyed by wildfires. The Scottish star, well-known for his roles in the movies London Has Fallen and 300, tweeted a photo of the burnt out shell of his Malibu home.

While sharing a photo, he wrote, “Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LAFD. If you can, support these brave men and women at http://SupportLAFD.org .”

The actor moaned in his Scottish accent in a set of video posted in his Instagram story, showing his burnt property.

Pop star Robin Thicke’s Malibu home has also been burned down in the wildfires that have left 25 people dead in California. He posted a note on his Instagram thanking the firefighters and asking people to count their blessings.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills starrer, Camille Grammer also posted on Instagram showing aerial image of her burning home in Malibu.

Miley Cyrus is also one the affected of California Wild fires, her house was burnt down in the blazing wildfire. The celebrity singer wrote on her twitter, “Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. I am grateful for”.

Many of the Hollywood celebrities were evacuated from the affected areas, including Orlando Bloom, Alyssa Milano, Lady Gaga, The Office actor Rainn Wilson and fashion designer Donna Karan. Some knew their homes were safe (for now) and waited for a chance to return. Others were in the dark, posting pictures of plumes of smoke and saying their houses were somewhere in there.
