Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie has collaborated with Microsoft Education and BBC to work on a children-oriented news program. Based on the BBC World Service, the show will aim at informing children about ongoing world issues.
“As a parent, I am happy to be able to give my support to a program that aims to help children learn more about the lives of other young people around the world, and connect them to each other,” said the actress on her partnership.
She added, “I hope it will help children find the information and tools they need to make a difference on the issues that matter to them, drawing on the BBC World Service’s network of thousands of journalists and multiple language services around the world.”
Titled BBC My World, the show is a joint effort of Microsoft and BBC to educate children on current affairs and help them form an opinion.
