Tensions have been ripe between India and Pakistan ever since the Pulwama attack in February this year. The attack was followed by India calling out Pakistan, blaming it for the attack and then using it as an excuse to fake an airstrike that received international coverage.
However, what went wrong in the entire scenario was the fact that Pakistan shot down two Indian planes, capturing Indian pilot, Abhinandan Varthaman, who was later returned to India as a gesture of goodwill.
Now, as it happens, India is all set to, once again, manipulate and narrate the events of the so-called Balakot airstrike in its upcoming film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Bhushan Kumar.
However, things didn’t go down well with Pakistanis, once the film was announced. As soon as Bhushan Kumar made the announcement, DG ISPR, Asif Ghafoor made sure, he put Bollywood back in its place by narrating what actually happened on the eve of Balakot Airstrike.
“With due respect to WC Abhinandan as a soldier, yes the dream could only be fulfilled through Bollywood. Denial of sham strike on 26 Feb and wreckage of 2 IAF jets shot by PAF on 27 Feb will haunt you despite that. Film on Balakot airstrike and Abhinandan,” wrote Asif Ghafoor on his Twitter.
Even Pakistanis couldn’t control themselves from trolling Bhansali on such an absurd film proposal.
