Famous Urdu poet Naseer Turabi passes away

Famous Urdu poet Naseer Turabi passed away in Karachi on Sunday.

His demise is a great loss for Urdu literature. Pakistan’s renowned poet and lyricist will be remembered for his credits of Urdu poetry.

The Humsafar OST, of HUM TV popular drama was  the poem written by Naseer Turabi in 1971, when Dhakka fell.

Naseer Turabi was born in Hyderabad,  Deccan on June 15, 1945. His father Allama Rasheed Turabi was a renowned religious scholar. And migrated to Pakistan after the independence of Pakistan in 1947.

Naseer Turabi  did M.A. in Mass Communications from University of Karachi in 1968.

Tributes and prayers started to pour on social media as soon as Naseer Turabi’s death news reached to public.
