After Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide, Bollywood and its big stars have come under fire for promoting nepotism and sidelining real talent. The debate has not only heated up in the country but also made many fans vow to boycott movies of certain celebrities.
Pakistani celebrities too took the podium and addressed the issue and particularly lauded flag bearer against nepotism Kangana Ranaut for her fierce opposition of Karan Johar whom she calls a mafia. The Fashion actress’s voice was so strong that next season of Johar’s popular show Koffee with Karan has also been shelved.
But while Pakistani artists praise Kangana and her bringing down KJo, television actress Iffat Omar has posted a question on the local industry’s merit.
“Pakistani industry artists sharing news of Koffee in Karan in hot water but darlings what about the nepotism in your own backyard?” tweeted the Aangan actress.
“Have you ever thought how many actors are there in our industry,” she asked.
Without taking any names the actress surely ruffled some feathers and let’s see if her tweet sparks debate in the local industry as well.
